The statues of WERA, in my opinion as photographer, are an expression of human emotions.
With the use of:
shape, colour, detail and sexuality, the humour and pathos of the human condition becomes apparent.
How this is done is to my mind amazing and a great deal of fun.
Though I am aware others will see it differently.
The emotions expressed are universal and common to all people.
This universality of course is dependent on culture, so when I name the statues it is only my opinion and with time I will see more.
The artist does not name them. But as with all good art,
these statues will speak for them selves and maybe cause personal reflection.
